There are 2 different fees associated with creating custom products in There: a one-time submission fee and a wholesale fee. The one-time submission fee is charged when you submit your custom design. It covers our costs for approving and processing your custom product. Once your product is approved, you receive the first copy for free. The wholesale price is charged when additional copies are made. Once your product is approved, you can either order products outright (for example, you can buy t-shirts for your club, or custom-items to give away as extra-special prizes) or put some up for fixed-price auction. Products you order will appear immediately in your My Things menu and the wholesale price for your copy will automatically be deducted from your T$ balance. If you decide to put copies up for fixed-price auction, you will only be charged the wholesale price once a copy has sold. Create a hot-selling item, and you'll quickly recoup your initial submission fees (remember to set a price that is higher than the wholesale price of the object). Please note: there is also a listing fee associated with fixed-price auctions. EXAMPLE
